Testimonials

I decided to ‘go big or go home’ after Dr. Shephard recommended I do both hips at the same time. My quality of life has improved significantly and my recovery went very well. I was discharged from home PT quickly because I was doing better than my PT expected. Dr. Shephard’s sense of humor eased my nerves. I recommend him and already gave a coworker his office number!

Patient – received double hip replacement

I just arrived from Florida after leaving behind my job position at Medfleet Ambulance. I knew the medical field was where I wanted to continue my career, buy without my diploma, I wasn’t sure how it was going to be possible. I saw a post on indeed for EVS at Brooks and applied and started working my way up from there. Next, I was a PCA and earning a high school diploma, to now working CSP for Brooks Hospital. What I love about lot about Brooks is they gave me a job opportunity with no education but mostly, I love that we are more than coworkers. We are a family. We care and value everybody — without judgement.

I like working at Brooks for many reasons, but one reason is the family culture. When anyone needs help, everyone helps out like they would family. Dr. Barker (ED) recently heard I wanted to restore the rocking chair that was my daughter Crisha’s, when she was a little girl. He is a talented woodworker and he came to me and offered to do it. I could give it to my granddaughter, Salma for her first Birthday. It was a special gift from two doctors!
